Quick Quotes
Q. Jon, hopefully you're not too tired of seeing me after every single round, but that usually is a great thing. Yesterday you said to me that you want to strike the ball better over the weekend. Did you see the improvements that you wanted and you were looking for?
JON RAHM: Yeah. Irons especially. It was quite a bit better than is was the first few days. There's still a few tee shots, 1 and 11, the swing on 10, as well, that are a lot worse than I would like a miss to be. Not that you can avoid mistakes, but this was quite bad. But cleaned it up a little bit on a much more difficult day, so hopefully tomorrow I can get it going again and get a solid Sunday.
Q. You've come so close so many times, four straight runner-up finishes. Do you see that as frustration, or do you view that as validation?
JON RAHM: Two of those were six, seven months ago, so you can't really count that. You have to keep putting yourself in contention and giving yourself chances. As long as I'm doing that, I'm playing good golf, take advantage of the opportunities I get, but it'll come. As I'm playing solid golf, I'm hoping tomorrow I have a good Sunday and get it done.
Q. We often hear your footsteps on a Sunday. You have the lowest scoring average. What makes you so dangerous coming down the stretch?
JON RAHM: I don't know. I don't know. It's Sunday, right? You've got to get it done. If you're chasing, you have the luxury of being able to be a bit more aggressive, and I've been chasing a lot, and I've taken it a little bit more aggressively and gotten it done. That statistic doesn't mean much. Coming down the stretch it's not like anybody is thinking about that. You have to go out there and play great and get it done.
