ARNOLD PALMER INVITATIONAL

March 6, 2026

Ludvig Aberg

Bay Hill, Florida, USA

Bay Hill Club and Lodge

Quick Quotes

Q. Can you speak to the difficulty of the golf course today, and maybe how much different you actually played from yesterday to today, given that?

LUDVIG ABERG: Yeah, it's a tricky golf course, obviously. We all know Bay Hill is hard. Especially when you get this kind of southeast wind, where it kind of goes back and forth, you get a lot of crosswinds. So, yeah, it's all about trying to hit as many fairways as you can, try to hit as many greens as you can, and lag putting well, which I thought I did pretty well today. But yeah, it's a place where you can't really force it, you can't really try to make things happen, it's just going to happen. I felt like we did a decent job of that so far.

Q. Where is your game at the moment with PLAYERS next week, this is still a big event as well, and with Augusta a few weeks off?

LUDVIG ABERG: It's definitely trending in the right direction, I feel like. Like I said yesterday, I felt like I saw some nice things early on sort of the weekend at Pebble, a couple of nice days at Riv as well. So I felt like things are getting better. I feel like today was a nice. I missed a few fairways, sort of 8, 9, 10. But mid round I was able to adjust it, which is a big thing for me. Obviously we're not going to hit every single shot perfect, but I was able to adjust mid round, which I thought was nice.

Q. I think this is your, this event was like the fourth event you had ever played as a pro back in 2023. Do you remember anything from that week that was like a learning curve for you where you were like, Oh, my goodness?

LUDVIG ABERG: I vividly remember playing here in 2023. I was paired with Adam Scott on Saturday and Patrick Cantlay on Sunday and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. It was probably my first experience playing really firm greens like this. It was my first experience playing a really hard golf course in that kind of TOUR setup. So I took away a lot from that week. I feel like what I went on to do the rest of that college year was predicated on this. It gave me a lot of confidence seeing the shots Adam would hit, the shots Patrick would hit, and I at least felt like I would match that. So it was definitely a cool week.

Q. Do these greens have the potential to be the firmest non-major greens of the whole tour season, especially relatively considering you're coming off like a West Coast Swing?

LUDVIG ABERG: Yeah, I think so, for sure. I think this, and when Memorial gets baked, Memorial is up there as well. But, yeah, for sure it's definitely one of them where -- we were actually joking about it, we almost feel like it's quite nice to be able to hit a full wedge and not worry about it ripping like we've done for the last couple of weeks over on the West Coast. But it's definitely a non-major, this one and Memorial, in my opinion.

Q. How much do you practice out at TPC Sawgrass?

LUDVIG ABERG: I would say about 50/50. Pablo Creek and TPC Sawgrass. Sawgrass is great. They have obviously two courses. I don't necessarily play Stadium a ton. I try to get out there a little bit. But tee to green I think it's one of the best golf courses in the world. But it's also quite busy. So, time-wise, the other one is a little bit easier.

Then Pablo Creek is amazing. I love being there. Yeah, every now and then I get out to Stadium.
