Q. You have been designated to be the opener for this WBC. You have been in this position many times before, a starting pitcher in a series in different situations. According to the numbers, you have the straight ball with spin in the team. How do you feel? Are you enjoying this moment, especially when you are going to face one of the favorites theoretically in the Classic?

RONALD MEDRANO: Glory to God. We have been preparing both physically and mentally for this tournament to face this kind of situation. We are going to enjoy it, to live the moment, and to help the team as much as I can.

Q. You both have played in the Dominican Republic, and the first game is against Dominican Republic tomorrow. What are your expectations to have enough adrenaline?

RONALD MEDRANO: Like I said before, we have been preparing for this moment. There is always pressure, but pressure is okay because that means that we are living in a good moment. We are going to enjoy the moment and to perform and to help the team as much as we can.

CARLOS TELLER: As my teammate said, I always feel that pressure is in the atmosphere. We are going to enjoy the game, try to not make so many mistakes and to perform properly so that the hitters can score. We have a winning mindset. We are playing at the same playing level. They have an aim, but we both have to play.

Q. Ronald, you had a very good winter. Now you are facing a different team with powerful hitters. How do you deal with the pressure?

RONALD MEDRANO: Well, again, both mentally and physically we're prepared. We have been training for this Classic. We are focused on executing and performing, as he said before, in key moments, to win. To help the team, that's going to be the key always.

Q. Carlos, you have experienced this before playing for the World Baseball Classic. Is it difficult with the restrictions you have as pitchers? You are now an experienced pitcher; have you communicated that to your teammates?

CARLOS TELLER: Well, in the clubhouse we have been speaking with pitchers, and we are all on the same page. It is not an easy group, but the performance is going to make the difference. We have been preparing good enough in order to be here at this point in time to win and to enjoy this moment.

The performance is going to be key, to hit the strike zone. There are some pitching rules. And it is important to attack and to change speeds so that we don't have to pitch so many pitches and to provide another inning to the coach and the staff, according to the game plan they have.
