THE MODERATOR: Welcome to the stage, Carlos Ortiz. Carlos, 10-under par 60 today. Please take us through your round.

CARLOS ORTIZ: It was a great round. We started a little bit slower than, I guess, I finished. But I would say highlights, I made a great par on 9. I think that was huge. Then I chipped in on 11, and I think that got the momentum going because I had just birdied 10. That was just nothing big, but that chip on 11 got the momentum. Obviously I played great coming in.

I think I hit it very close, like four or five times I just tapped it in. That doesn't happen much, so it's awesome when you don't even have to get the putter out. Very pleased.

Q. Your back nine today, when you have a stretch like that, holes 10 through 17, what does that feel like? Is there anything different that's going through your mind and body or is it all coming naturally?

CARLOS ORTIZ: Honestly, I think that's what I'm trying to do every day, it just doesn't happen that often. That's always what I'm trying to do, hit it close and make birdies, just now they were happening.

Q. Was there any thought in your head when you were watching the last approach shot thinking, if it goes in, it's 59?

CARLOS ORTIZ: I knew if I finished with four birdies I had a chance of shooting 59. Obviously I missed that putt on 15, so I knew I was going to have to make it, but I'm trying to make it every time.

Q. Have you shot 59 before?

CARLOS ORTIZ: No.

Q. Is 60 your lowest in your career?

CARLOS ORTIZ: In a tournament I think that's the lowest I've shot.

Q. When you got here earlier this week, did you think this was going to be a pretty special place maybe this week? Did you have some good vibes?

CARLOS ORTIZ: I really like the place. I've been working hard on my swing, so I'm just focusing on committing and trying to play the best I can. Today was great.

Q. What's it been like now with Abe in the team room? Obviously you guys are close and probably having a lot of fun, I bet?

Q. Abe is awesome. I think he's just a perfect fit. We told him he's welcome home. I think it's always supposed to be that way. Just the way it happened and everything, it was a little bit different. But it's awesome having Abe. Abe is a great guy and a great player.

Q. Can you take us through the eagle on 13, please?

CARLOS ORTIZ: I hit a drive down the middle and then I hit it to four feet and made the putt.
