Q. Can you take us through the moment on No. 2 tee, the yardage, club you chose, when you first realized it had a chance of going in?

VICTOR PEREZ: How far was it? I actually don't even know. 27? Yeah, 127, a little downwind. I hit my gap wedge 121, so I was trying to hit just a stock gap wedge, and it ended up going a little more right. The ball was in the air, and I was playing with Harold, and Harold goes like, go in. Then it was in. It happened so quickly. The ball didn't roll, either. It kind of was just like, ba-bap, and it was in. It was like, yeah, great bonus.

Q. From your perspective, did it look like it was tracking the whole time? Were you surprised?

VICTOR PEREZ: I guess it kind of landed, bounced and in. It's not like you could see it tracking. You don't know exactly if it's going to land one short or one long, so not really. We almost didn't have time.

Q. What career number ace is it for you?

VICTOR PEREZ: It's terrible because I don't know. I don't know. I know I have -- I'm pretty sure I have four in competition. I have one on the Challenge Tour, one on DP World, one in the U.S. Open and one here, and I might have one more in a tournament, but I probably have 10 or 11. But I don't know. It's terrible.

Q. How much of a momentum boost can that be the rest of the way for you?

VICTOR PEREZ: No, for sure. I was struggling. You're level par, then you make an ace, which is a huge bonus, to get to 2-under. Then I scrambled there because I didn't really deserve to shoot 2-under today, so it was great. Then hopefully do a bit of practice and get better the next three days.
