Q. Sergio, it was the day for scoring. 7-under bogey free, 63, 18 greens, too. With only two questionable golf shots, maybe 7 and 9, which I think even the great man Seve might have been looking down tipping the cap -- I was thinking the plugged lie on 7 on the upslope was incredible. What is it about Hong Kong Golf Club that agrees with you?

SERGIO GARCIA: Thanks, to start, first of all. I think that it is the kind of golf course that I enjoy. It's got a vibe, kind of look a Valderrama kind of vibe, like traditional, kind of small greens. You don't have to hit it super far. But you have to be precise. Usually when my game is on, I'm pretty good at that.

Obviously I've played well here before. Last year obviously I won. It's nice to start well again.

Q. You have played here a lot, and this golf course can change quite drastically one day to the next. This is as easy a golf course as we're going to play it and we know conditions will change. How much of an advantage is knowing the condition and knowing conditions and what it can present moving forward?

SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, without a doubt. Obviously we had some rain Tuesday throughout the day and then obviously we had quite a bit of rain yesterday. The course was playing pretty much as easy as you're going to get it here. Greens were soft. They weren't super fast. The fairways were soft, lift, clean and place. But you still have to hit the shots and you still have to make the putts. It was nice to be able to do that.

I think, like you said, a couple of shots here and there, but it's difficult to go 18 holes without hitting a couple of iffy shots here and there. But I recovered nicely. Like you said, I hit 18 greens, which is always something nice. It does take a lot of stress out.

That obviously was very encouraging.
