MARY LIU: The weather was great today. I warmed up fully in the morning, the whole process went smoothly, and I felt I managed my pace very well.
Q. You didn't make any bogeys today. How would you rate your round, and what score would you give yourself?
MARY LIU: I would give myself 85 points. I still didn't handle a couple of shots perfectly, but I think it was much better than the last tournament.
Q. How does it feel to be at an LPGA event for the first time?
MARY LIU: Mostly, I feel happy and excited.
Q. You had a great season last year. What are your expectations or goals for the new season?
MARY LIU: My expectation is to continue moving up in the rankings.
Q. How did it feel out there today?
MARY LIU: I really enjoyed myself out there. I worked well with my caddie, and we maintained a good rhythm throughout the round.
Q. The season is just starting. How do you feel about your current form?
MARY LIU: My winter training went very well. This year, I have a clearer idea of what my training priorities are. My coach also advised me to balance work and rest. I even went home for the Chinese New Year this year, which was really nice.
Q. This is your third time at Jian Lake Blue Bay. How does it feel different compared to before?
MARY LIU: I remember the wind being particularly strong last year. This morning, the wind wasn't as strong. Every time I come here, I think the course is beautiful. I really enjoy playing here. Compared to last year, I'm in an even better mood this time.
