Q. Joining me here today after the first round of the 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand is Hye-Jin Choi. This is your first LPGA Tour event of the year. Was there anything you worked on in the offseason that you think is showing in your game?

HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) It was first tournament in LPGA. After last year I trained hard and I rest hard. Last year I really hit the ball with feeling but this year on the training I tried to focus on the process, and I think this helped during the round.

Q. About today's round, what do you think specifically went well?

HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) There was nothing specific about -- not only one thing, but I kept the fairway very well and I made some good putts.

I struggled a little bit with the long putts because of the distance. Even if I made a miss I had a good save, yeah.

Q. Looking ahead to the rest of the week what do you think will be important to excel at this course?

HYE-JIN CHOI: (Through translation.) It's so hot here so I think it's really important to keep your power and rest well. The green is a little soft, so I think if the green gets little firm I think the ball will roll really well. I think it's really important to adjust to the course.
