Quick Quotes
Q. Thoughts and feelings on your whole experience?
ELISE BARBER: This week has definitely been amazing, even the weather for challenges out there and pin placements that you would probably never think would be there.
Yeah, just it was such a great experience seeing different -- playing with different people. Seeing how they play around greens in tough conditions.
Q. And I guess what have been the most enjoyable things and also the most challenging things this week?
ELISE BARBER: I would have to say conditions combined with pin placements for me, especially on like par-4s into the wind. It's really tough to -- for me to reach the greens, even with a wood in my hands.
So definitely trying to take advantage of the downwind holes.
Q. And how hard was it out there today given the wind and especially into some of the longer par-4s?
ELISE BARBER: Extremely tough. Yeah, no, it was pretty rough trying to guide something down low into the wind instead of it blowing up in the air and coming straight back down and having another approach shot trying to get to the green and try to get up and down.
So, yeah, definitely conditions were playing tough, probably for everyone as well.
Q. How beneficial do you think this week is for your golf game? Playing in this sort of scenario with galleries, how beneficial do you think it could be?
ELISE BARBER: Definitely I think I've taken a few tips away from other people, watching how they play on the course.
Definitely from a longer distance, just knowing what clubs would be the perfect club to guide through into the wind and, yeah.
Q. And I guess you've had a bit of a taste of this now. You want to play more of it? Does this get you hungry for more? How do you sort of feel?
ELISE BARBER: It's definitely been such -- already such an amazing week starting from Monday afternoon. Yeah, it's really enjoyable, apart from the weather obviously. But, no, I really enjoyed the week, coming here every morning, seeing everyone, and even after seeing everyone come together, hugging, and just comforting each other, which is great.
Q. And obviously there has been quite a lot of media attention and people reading about you. I'm sure few messages as well. How has that all felt?
ELISE BARBER: Yes, it's meant a lot to me, especially with the crowds, just a few people coming out. It's meant a lot to me in terms of just being out there even in this cold, disgusting weather; just always rooting me on down the sides, and even after texting me from afar and just saying, well done, we're really proud of you. It means a lot.
Q. And I guess a lot of people are talking about girls even younger than you getting inspired seeing you do that. How does that make you feel?
ELISE BARBER: Yes, definitely I just think the (indiscernible) because pretty rough out there. But they definitely also come to me after and say, congratulations. It's pretty tough out there. Yeah, I love to inspire younger juniors to come out like I did this week.
Q. What for you next week? Back to school?
ELISE BARBER: Yep. I reckon my friends will probably be really happy to see me come back, and battling what I had to battle this week, teachers are probably hopefully be really proud of me and be cheering me on as I come through the gate.
But, yeah, we'll see how that next week goes and see my friends and teachers.
Q. How much would you like to play in a few more of these going forward into the future?
ELISE BARBER: Definitely could be a goal. Definitely after seeing this week, it's definitely been such a great week and if I could try to get through next year, I would definitely give it a go.
