WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

February 15, 2026

Caitlin Maurice

Heretaunga, Wellington, New Zealand

Quick Quotes

Q. Walk me through your last round. How did you find today?

CAITLIN MAURICE: It's definitely tough weather-wise. It's blowing and a lot colder. Also have to adjust to that, so that was challenging.

But we finished, yes.

Q. How have you found the tournament? You've had sun at the beginning, you've had rain, sun, cold, wind. How have you had to adjust to this tournament?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Yeah, the first few days, like it was nice and warm and it was lovely, shorts out, got a bit of a tan. So the ball was going further, stuff like that.

Today you had to adjust, five yards a bit shorter and things were flying and then the wind and all of that.

But overall it's been amazing. Just how the tournament has been put on, like the amount of volunteers, media around it, everyone coming out, it's been really cool.

Q. And how have you found representing New Zealand and being with all the girls this week?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Super fun. You know, as a junior golfer it's always what you want to do, is get to a level where your representing your country, representing New Zealand, so it's been really cool.

And (Wind interference) I haven't played with a lot of them for a while. I've been overseas. So cool to be back around surrounded by Kiwis from your own country.

Q. You're based out of Scotland. How does it feel to be back here and putting it on for the home crowd and having the home crowd cheer you on as well?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Really awesome. There was a couple from Omokoroa Golf Club, which is the best golf club, out watching me the first couple days, so that was really cool.

Having the family around, just being able to see them and have their support no matter how it's going, really good to be back home.

Q. What do you think it means for Omokoroa?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Yeah.

Q. What do you think is means for them?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Hopefully they're proud of me. Yeah, hopefully proud of me. Hopefully get some more junior girls into it in The Bay, like see the pathway and places golf can take you and stuff. Yeah.

Q. What do you think the strongest part of your game was this whole tournament?

CAITLIN MAURICE: I putted well the last three days. Not today, but the last three days. And then my iron play is always good approach to greens.

Q. Nice. Do you have any messages for family and friends, anyone watching this whole tournament?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Hopefully people are just proud of me. Yeah, no, it's been cool to see all the support and feel it on all the messages.

Q. You're playing a tournament next week I hear.

CAITLIN MAURICE: Yes, playing the R&A Tour Series over in Spain next week. Yeah, so it will be fun.

Q. What do you think you can take from this tournament to that one next week?

CAITLIN MAURICE: Just the level of golf here is really cool to play and see. The girls out there right now still playing, it's insane. So just focusing on myself and seeing how good people are out there and just keep pushing. Yeah.
