LIV GOLF ADELAIDE

February 14, 2026

Anthony Kim

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

The Grange

4Aces GC

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome to the media center, Anthony Kim. AK, third round 4-under. Please tell us how you felt out there today.

ANTHONY KIM: I didn't have a great range session today, but I decided I was just going to let all the practice that I've been doing take over and just make good swings. I hit it a little bit better out there. Made a couple loose swings, but overall I'm pleased with my score for how I felt before the round.

Q. Still a few players out on the course, but barring any changes there's a chance you could be in the final group tomorrow. Entering this event and now looking at what may potentially be the final grouping for our biggest event of the year in Adelaide, how do you feel about just what's transpired and the changes from being a wild card to being part of the Aces to where you may be teeing off tomorrow on Sunday?

ANTHONY KIM: It's been a hell of a week. Obviously not having a visa to get into this country was the start. I've worked hard, and I knew this day would come at some point. Obviously Bryson is at 20-something under or whatever he is, and he's got a huge lead, but I'm at least putting myself where I feel like I belong, and the practice is paying off.

Q. Just to build on that, if two years ago somebody had said you'd be in the final group with Bryson and Rahm at LIV's largest event, what would you have thought back then?

ANTHONY KIM: It was always the goal to be in the final group, giving yourself a chance to win a golf tournament, or else I wouldn't have been practicing and playing on this league. But if you'd have asked me three years ago, I would have told you you were on drugs.

Q. Do you feel like your success, whenever it might come to win a tournament, is it more likely to be in a shootout type environment like we seem to have this week, or do you feel like it might be more when the scores are a little tougher and you really have to grind? Do you feel there might be one way or the other that you're going to break through?

ANTHONY KIM: I don't care if it's tough, if it's easy. I just want to break through and give myself a chance to win the golf tournament. Obviously six shots back, seven shots back going into tomorrow is going to be tough. But I know if I just keep working that I'll have enough chances.

I like playing tough golf courses because I'm always looking to battle uphill. I know that a large percentage of the players at majors already feel like they can't win the golf tournament. The harder the course, the better it is.

Q. (On the bogey on 8.)

ANTHONY KIM: The 8th hole definitely tested my patience. I'm surprised that wedge made it through to 9, but that's just part of my progression as far as where I'm at as a player and the patience I'm showing to be able to bear down and hit a good drive on a very tight hole there on 9.

I'm just going to keep getting better.

Q. You've obviously been playing well; gradually you've been improving. But how much has the team component influenced your play do you think? Is playing for something more than yourself, has that helped you raise your game a level?

ANTHONY KIM: Obviously it's my first week, so I don't know what's really all going on with the team, but I do see the Aces on the leaderboard, and that's pretty cool. But how I can help the team is by playing the best I can and focusing and being patient, doing all the things that I've been working on.

Right now I'm just trying to play the best golf that I can, and hopefully I'll be able to help the team out.

Q. Do you find yourself watching leaderboards more as a result, or are you just the same?

ANTHONY KIM: There's a few slow players out here, so a lot of times when I'm stuck behind them, that's all I've got to do.

Q. You played in a group with a South African; how was it to play with Gracey?

ANTHONY KIM: Gracey gets a lot out of his game. He plays very well. I played with him two days last week, and he played great. Really nice dude, and I enjoy playing with him.
