Q. First of all, talk about being ready up front when your number is called.

BUB CARRINGTON: For real, man.

Q. How did that go down?

BUB CARRINGTON: They woke me up out of my sleep. Just played in Cleveland, flew home, woke up out of sleep by my GM, and he said, you're a Rising Star. Go get on this plane in two hours. Had to pack my bags. Now I'm in L.A. as a Rising Star.

Q. Your thoughts of you two (Tre Johnson) getting out there and having a little fun and letting it fly?

BUB CARRINGTON: It was super fun. You talk about things like that. When it actually happened, it was super cool. It was special.

Q. Now I know you wanted to get the W.

BUB CARRINGTON: For sure.

Q. You still put on a good performance. Were you on the table with Reggie Miller trying to get the ball?

BUB CARRINGTON: I was trying to dive on the loose ball. Hustle plays. Bringing All-Star back. I was playing hard.

Q. You lost to your teammate (Kyshawn George). How is that going to go when it's live action back in D.C.?

BUB CARRINGTON: Probably not well, to be honest. I'm not looking forward to it. He didn't score on me. That should help. We still lost. So it's not going to be good.

Q. While I've got you here, your thoughts about being ready when your number is called. Honestly, you didn't initially get here, but you were ready to perform and you showed up.

BUB CARRINGTON: I think that's a testament to my career as well. My best ability, like they say, is availability. No better way to -- I feel like I sound kind of conceited saying this. There's no way to kind of give a person like me an All-Star shout other than him just being available, being there and can play at any time. I feel that's me. That's what I've shown the league. It's fitting.

Q. It's fitting because your back to back Rising Stars have been in California. Are you having fun in California?

BUB CARRINGTON: I'm also 100 percent from the field in All-Star history. I've never missed a shot in the All-Star Game.

Q. Do I need to check the stats on that?

BUB CARRINGTON: Go ahead. I'm 3 for 3. 2 for 2 the first game, 1 for 1 today.

Q. Do you have any other plans while you're in town for the weekend?

BUB CARRINGTON: I want to connect with some of them legends. I know some of them have certain events going on tomorrow. I'm definitely going to be there. Try to pick their brains a little bit. I appreciate them, what they did to the game. Hopefully we can build some good relationships.

Q. What was it like with T-Mac on the sideline?

BUB CARRINGTON: You can tell he's the smooth dude that everyone says he is. But that was nice.

Q. What does that mean?

BUB CARRINGTON: Like, even when he's yelling or trying to get us like hyped, he's still even keel.

Q. What was it like to see Kyshawn make the Rising Stars this year?

BUB CARRINGTON: I was super excited, obviously. He should have been there. Well, being deserved, I'm happy for him, super excited for him. He'll be make again as a real one, for sure.
