Quick Quotes
Q. Charlayne, thanks for joining us. You've just finished your second round.
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: Thank you for having me.
Q. Can you talk to us a little bit about your round out there and how it went for you today?
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: It was a struggle to be very honest because I couldn't get my warmup routine as I did yesterday, the same thing, because of the rain. It was pouring, so I didn't do much putting and I could only do and figure out things in the course during my round.
All in all, I would say my game today was okay. I would accept it. It's all right.
Q. The weather you just mentioned there, it was really tricky.
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: It was pouring.
Q. Do you feel like it's the mental resilience that you need to draw on a day like today?
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: Yeah, I would say. And also experience, because we've never really had this kind of conditions, extreme conditions in Malaysia. Usually with this kind of rain we wouldn't be able to play.
Q. Talk to us about the highlight of your day. What went well out there today?
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: What went well, oh, my God, I couldn't make my birdies to be honest, until my last hole. That was the most iconic shot I've had.
Q. Okay. Tell me about that shot.
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: So it 50 meters and I just confidently just zoned out, just telling myself, okay, just like what I do on the range. I usually start my range practice with a 50 meter so I was like, okay, just like a range shot.
I hit it to one foot, so that was --
Q. Beautiful.
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: -- my only birdie on the second nine.
Q. That must give you nice vibes to take into the weekend.
CHARLAYNE SHIN LING CHONG: Yeah, it did. It did.
