WM PHOENIX OPEN

February 8, 2026

Scottie Scheffler

Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

TPC Scottsdale

Quick Quotes

Q. Scottie, after the way this tournament started on Thursday, one bogey the last three days; in the mix. How would you assess the comeback?

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, it was good. I put myself in a tough position after the first round, but three really solid days. Today was another really good round.

I'm going to fall a few shots short it looks like, but overall proud of the fight this week and did some good stuff.

Q. 64 and a few wedges I would you want to have back in that round, but it's hard to nitpick a 64 on a Sunday.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to nitpick too many 64s. String together a few more of those. If you want to nitpick, let's look a little bit further back in the week.

There is always some stuff you can clean up. When you look at any round of golf you play you can always hit one shot better, few shots better here or there.

Overall proud of how I played today and looking forward to getting some rest tomorrow and then getting ready for next week.

Q. How much fun were the competitive juices on the back nine? I know gutting out some of the birdies that you did when maybe you weren't hitting it as tight this week seemed to really energize you, especially on the back nine with the crowd.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I mean, it's tough to get ball close here. You get a little bit of wind and how firm the greens, it can be quite challenging.

Yeah, I'm proud to give myself some chances and put myself in position. Like I said few shots short ultimately, but proud of the way we fought this week.

Q. Can you talk about the putt at 14? That was something.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, that was nice. More often than not I would probably chip that ball, but the lie was sitting very funny in the grass and my pace on the greens had been really good all week, so just decided to hit the putt, and, yeah, got line right.

Q. How do you overall assess a tournament like this where you with three rounds that were so good and just kind of undone by that one day.

How would I assess the tournament? I mean, I played pretty well. Like you said, only one round where I didn't have my best stuff. If I get in the house the first day with a couple under par it's a little different story today.

Overall, proud of way I fought the last three days to give myself a chance.
