Q. Nicolai, bogey-free 66. Excellent start. Just get some comments on your play?

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Yeah, played nicely out there. Early tee time came in handy today. Back nine was playing lovely. The wind got up in to the end, in the last nine holes so got tricky. You got to hit some good golf shots coming in.

I'm very pleased how I managed my game.

Q. Different type tournament here. Talk about your experience out there this morning with the fans and everything.

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: I would say it was a little quiet morning, but the vibe and the atmosphere here is great. -- we don't have that any other week basically so it's such a special week with the fans.

And 16 even in the morning when we were there was great. I can't wait for tomorrow afternoon.

Q. The conditions out there today seemed to be pretty benign.

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Yeah, conditions were good. That early tee time was good on the front nine and then the wind got up on the back, which is the opposite wind than it normally is here.

The finishes on the back nine and front nine are quite tricky today. Yeah, very happy how I managed it out there today.

Q. Any shots or any of the birdies really stand out?

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: I think on 5 I hit a 9-iron out of the fairway bunker, a little bonus. Hit it to two feet. Wasn't aiming to do that, so that's a little bonus.

I holed a 10-footer on 7 for par, which I felt like a big momentum putt going in.
