Quick Quotes
Q. You had a consistent round today. Can you tell me a little bit about how you're feeling?
LOURENDA STEYN: I'm feeling pretty confident. I didn't have the best day yesterday. Feeling very nervous as this is my first time playing in this event. I had a bit of trouble on the front nine being very unlucky, and then on the back nine I just told myself if you keep it on the fairways and on the greens, the putts will eventually fall, and that's exactly what happened.
Q. You got two birdies; how did that feel?
LOURENDA STEYN: It felt pretty good. I was also very unlucky with the putts today, like I was hitting them very close. Being very unlucky with the lines, too, but yeah, it was.
Q. How were the conditions on the course?
LOURENDA STEYN: The conditions were a bit different than yesterday because yesterday we played in the afternoon. The greens were a bit more firmer. This morning it was a bit more receptive but also really tough because the holes were very new so you can't actually read the greens really well. Yeah, that's why I struggled a bit on the front nine. On the back nine it dried up a bit.
Q. I know you and Lisa are good friends. How does it feel to compete with one of your good friends?
LOURENDA STEYN: It feels so good. She's such a competitive partner and player. It's also nice playing with her because she also pushes you to play better and be better, and I just really like her personality.
Q. How much confidence does that performance give you going into tomorrow?
LOURENDA STEYN: I think taking my back nine into tomorrow, feeling that confident, I'm feeling really happy at where I'm at, and I'll just take it shot by shot tomorrow.
