Quick Quotes
Q. We're here at the African Amateur. How are you feeling going into the week?
GIA RAAD: I'm feeling pretty good. I think I've prepared well up to now, so I think I just need to focus on making a score. There's nothing I can do about the other players. Hopefully it works in my favor.
Q. How do you feel you're playing?
GIA RAAD: I think I'm playing well. I've practised, played a couple rounds here, so I think I know the course well. Hopefully my game is just on.
Q. What do you think about the course?
GIA RAAD: I think it's in amazing condition, especially it's nice that they've had a couple events leading up to now because they haven't had (indiscernible) on the greens so they're rolling really nicely, and the fairways are perfect, so it's really nice. It's amazing to play here.
Q. What was it like to lift the trophy at Leopard Creek last year?
GIA RAAD: It's actually unreal. This tournament is such a big deal, and the opportunities I got from winning that was really cool. It was a very good feeling.
Q. Tell me a little bit about the opportunities that winning last year gave you this year.
GIA RAAD: It was really good because I got to play a lot of pro events, and I did quite well at Erinvale in the Investec Open. I missed the cut in Scotland, but I really enjoyed playing at Nairn, which is really nice.
Q. How was that experience?
GIA RAAD: So good, yeah. I love playing in the UK, so anywhere linksey -- yeah, it was great.
Q. Anything else to add going into the week?
GIA RAAD: Not much. I think the girls are going to come out firing this year, so expectations aren't too high, but I'm feeling good about my game.
