Q. Nelly. In the toughest conditions we have seen so far this week, you managed the low round of the week so far. What was the key to the low day?
NELLY KORDA: I mean, I started off really great. I mean, I birdied my first two and holed out for eagle on the third.
So starting like that, it's always a bonus.
Then just really narrowed in on my targets, hitting those like low bullets into the wind. 15 and in I knew it was going to be tough no matter what time of day you were going to play, so just happy get those over with.
Q. While you were out there we saw the temperatures drop and the wind pick up. What was the big challenge out there today?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, the temperature definitely -- I think it started dropping already on No. 3, so I had a couple layers but you can't pack on too many playing golf because you really want to swing. I would say just mentally dialing in it's going to throw everything at you. Everyone is in the same boat, and you really have to dial in on your targets?
Q. You've won here on this course. You got six Top 10s in this event. What have you learned playing here that can help you tomorrow?
NELLY KORDA: Just to focus on my own game. Weather plays a big part, but just to be aggressive where you can, take the opportunities where you can, but also play it safe. When you're on the wrong side of the hole it can get away from you really fast.
