Q. 69 here at the Emirates on Friday. How did you find it out there?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, it was definitely a struggle. Hit some pretty weird shots at times but obviously had a great finish. I feel like I hit a good chip shot on 15 and it just landed funny and like went in at a mad pace but thankfully it did go in.
Holing out on 17 was cool. The fact that even Rory was impressed shows it was a good shot. Yeah, that was definitely a bonus.
Q. You mentioned struggles. Was it the conditions or parts of your game you weren't happy with?
TYRRELL HATTON: I would say the conditions, it felt easier today than yesterday. Although it was still difficult out there. But I just didn't feel like I was hitting very good shots. Yeah, hit some weird shots with my irons, and yeah, wasn't in the fairway too often. So that's not a great combination to score well.
I feel like I did well in my scrambling, and yeah, obviously the finish helps a lot.
Q. Defending your title, still with 36 to play, those last four holes, how vital do you think that's going to be heading to the weekend to have a chance?
TYRRELL HATTON: Yeah, I'm, what, four back going into the weekend? It's in a decent position, considering I don't feel like I've played anywhere near what I'm capable of. So hopefully I wake up tomorrow with a decent golf swing and a clearer head, and we'll go out there and try our best.
