Q. Collin, we'll start with your putt that really sealed the victory for the team when it seemed like Jupiter was making the turn. Talk us through that putt and what did you see and how important was it for the team to make that and get the victory?

COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah, we love stress. These guys played great. We played really smart. I think a lot of the time-outs we've used have been on the greens to read putts, and this was one of those that I think benefitted us a lot and benefitted myself because we were all reading it. We were all on the same page. To make a putt like that obviously is really good and rewarding, especially at that time.

Just the entire momentum was their side in match play, and if you can flip that and put a stop to it, and it happened to be on our second-to-last hole.

Q. Justin, you mentioned it was your first albatross. Immediately when you hit it, you didn't seem terribly interested in how it turned out; you picked up your tee, whatever. At what point did you know that it was going in, and to have that sort of visceral reaction, probably your most excitable moment?

JUSTIN ROSE: For sure. I mean, listen, I picked up my tee -- well, it wasn't a tee, it was off the fairway. But I picked up my other club, my 5-iron, because I just knew. I didn't know it was going in, but as a player I knew that I executed, and as soon as I saw it take off and stay straight, I'm like, that's going to be good.

So that's kind of why I was like, well, I can't do anything about it now, may as well start walking. I was kind of walking to get my putter. Obviously ended up not needing my putter, which was exciting. That's the surprise, right? You can hit a great shot, but the outcome is always slightly out of your control.

I was dead set, loved the way it felt off the club, and then you get that moment where you're like, oh, my God, it's gone in, and that's kind of that surprise moment, which is amazing.

It was fun to celebrate with the boys, and it was a cool moment for sure.

Q. Dropping to 0-2 would be an uphill battle to make the playoffs. Now you guys are 1-1, obviously one of the four playoff teams. How big was it just to get an early season win?

JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, I mean, huge, obviously. We look like we're in a great spot. They threw a good hammer, obviously, on that drivable par-4. Max played the hole nicely, made birdie. I skulled that chip, was feeling pretty sorry for myself after the highs and the lows, and then Collin's putt was kind of like the dagger blow. I think as a team we collectively grinded on it, the man executed like a warrior there, and that put it to bed.

We were all just good tonight, I think. We were all solid. There was no drama. Really we were just always in control.

But then when you let a team back in in match play, if you give them a little bit of momentum, things can shift. I felt like Collin stepping up in that critical moment and making the putt was huge because, yeah, 0-2 at this point, especially, not saying The Bay and Jupiter are teams you look at and think that you should beat, but there's some strong matches ahead for us, as well, as there will be all the way to the end.

Q. The architects have done some really fun things this year for the fans. Sahith, take us through the brand-new hole Last Toll, the tee shot. I'm sure you'd practiced it before this evening, but what were you thinking and what type of shot were you trying to hit there?

SAHITH THEEGALA: Are you talking about the bridge hole? Yeah, what a cool hole. I love any and all kinds of holes like that. The hardest shot for me to hit is a straight shot, so put something right in front of me and I'll figure out a way to get around it. It's super fun because it makes you get creative, not only with the shape of the shot but with the apex of the shot, too. It came off a little low, which I was worried about. It looked like it was going to hit the bridge for a second, but luckily the shot shape was right.

But I think it's a great blend of super fun and unique and interesting and challenging but also very fair. You hit the shot, you get rewarded; if you don't hit the shot, you don't get rewarded. It doesn't feel like it's too Mickey Mouse or anything like that. It feels like if you execute the shot, it's still going to produce a really good result.

I have a ton of fun with it. I know even watching the matches from home, it's a lot of fun to see holes like that.

Q. What club did you hit?

SAHITH THEEGALA: I hit a 6-iron. I hit both the 6 and the 7 in practice. You can actually go right of it with a draw. I think you actually don't need to draw it as much as you cut it. It's a little bit awkward hitting the draw. But yeah, in practice I actually hit a 9-iron around it. You get a lot of different clubs you can hit on holes like that, too.

Q. For Sahith, grinded to make the cut last week at the Sony, flew here for TGL, back to the Amex this week. How do you feel right now, and how are you going to recharge to get ready for another tournament starting here in about 48 hours?

SAHITH THEEGALA: Yeah, I actually feel great. It was definitely a grind last week, but I just love being a part of this team and part of LAGC and part of TGL. Once I got here, I was able to get plenty of rest. Honestly, today I felt great.

Even a couple hours before the match starts, I get a little bit nervous and the adrenaline kicks up and I feel awesome and just ready to compete.

Just figured everyone here has been through some travel struggles for sure. I know how it is. Collin was on the flight with me, and both these guys are going to be on the flight over to Palm Springs, too.

It's a grind for sure, but you don't want to let your teammates down. You want to put your best performance out there. Honestly, I didn't even think about that out there, which was awesome.

Yeah, it's a lot of travel for sure, but it's still worth it.

Q. Justin, what did you do well to set that shot up for the albatross, and what club did you hit on that?

JUSTIN ROSE: Yeah, so kind of knew what the parameters of the shot were. So the flag was sort of fairly central, but there was a little bit of a right-to-left slope right of the pin, so it kind of felt like if I did hit a little bit of a hold shot or a fade shot or a controlled shot a little bit to the right, which would take a little bit of distance off of the shot, that would sort of serve me well, so that's kind of why I leaned towards hitting a 4-iron over the 5-iron. And then it was all about just making a smooth swing and kind of getting that contact and getting that strike, to get enough spin on the ball really. If I don't hit the 4-iron well enough, it's going to be a little low spin and it's going to come out a little bit too hot. So yeah, just kind of making the right contact to get the ball climbing up nicely and getting that nice soft flight, which is exactly what happened.

I guess just making a good decision in the early part of the routine, I suppose, is always critical to hitting a good shot and then committing to it.

Q. Sahith, I learned today that you'll be playing in the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches coming up in a little over a month. What went into that decision? I don't think I recall you playing in the Honda or the Cognizant yet.

SAHITH THEEGALA: Yeah, actually it's one of the few tournaments on TOUR I've never played. I like to play a lot of golf, and yeah, this year it's a little bit of a different circumstance. I'm not in any of the elevateds or the majors either. Definitely need to play everything that I'm in.

I love it. I love it. I feel like it's not too different from my normal schedule. Just with the flow of things, I'm not in Pebble or Riv right now, so if I don't get into those, play my way in, I'll have a couple weeks off, so I figured it's great to start back up in the Florida Swing.

Again, I'm not in Bay Hill. I'm actually not in THE PLAYERS, either. So got to get every point that I can get. I feel like I'm a rookie on TOUR again, and it's kind of a good reset in a way. I'm excited to tackle PGA National. I only hear the stories and see the scores and watched it growing up. I know it's a very difficult course. I'm excited to play it, honestly. Really excited.

Q. Question for the team. TGL season is really short, and every point counts. Was there any thought on the final hole to throwing your last hammer to try to maximize the number of points you could have gotten tonight? Could be a big tiebreaker at the end of the season.

COLLIN MORIKAWA: Well, what we've learned, it comes down to holes won, not points won, so it wouldn't have made a difference. It would have been for dramatics. At that point, we weren't going to throw it on the last putt. Maybe it influenced betting, but I wouldn't know.

Q. The media doesn't get to see you guys in your practice at your shootarounds on the day of events. You're a team that takes it very seriously. Just talk about that mentality and how you guys approach practicing out here into the screen on the days of matches.

COLLIN MORIKAWA: I don't think we have to tell anyone, come out and practice and do your thing. Rosey was practicing earlier somewhere else today and decided to come in a little bit later and still got his window in to practice. Sahith and I were here today. I know Tommy -- we've all done it, and I think it's just because we care. It's not something that has been pushed on us. We all want to do this. We all want to win. If you're going to win and try and give your best effort, you have to put in a little bit of work and a little bit of practice.

It just helps. It doesn't mean you're going to execute perfectly, but at least we have a game plan. I think if you look at our team, we're very methodical on those things and want to have a plan at least set and see how it all plays out.
