Quick Quotes
Q. Patrick, outstanding week. Closed it off with a 65 today. Just get some comments.
PATRICK RODGERS: Yeah, I played great today. By far my best of the week. Felt like I controlled the ball really well tee-to-green. Obviously the conditions were more benign for probably the first 10, 11 holes, but it was kind of back to the normal breeze there at the end.
I controlled my ball great and gave myself tons of chances. Unfortunately didn't have a hot putter today.
Q. It's not over yet though. Chris has a couple-stroke lead with a couple to play. What's your plans here over the next 30 minutes?
PATRICK RODGERS: Yeah, I'm never rooting for anybody to play poorly coming in, but I'll be ready just in case. Yeah, I was focused on my process today and put as many good holes together as I could and was trying to make enough birdies to get up there and catch him.
Q. Finished off the season in contention and now in contention here again. How good does that feel to start the year off?
PATRICK RODGERS: Yeah, it's nice to have some continuity in my game. I feel like I was battling for a lot of last year and finally got my game into a place where it was showing up in competition.
So it was almost like with where my game was you almost didn't want a break, so it's nice to pick up where I left off. Had some amazing time at home and got some awesome, consistent time with my kids and my wife, and that always makes you feel good starting the year.
Q. What's your schedule look like over the next few weeks?
PATRICK RODGERS: Yeah, I feel like anyone who didn't finish inside the Top 50 it's quite busy here to start the year trying to Signature Events.
And I love playing on the west coast. Obviously played there in college. Yeah, I'm excited about every opportunity. I'm going to play a pretty heavy load.
