Quick Quotes

Q. Chris, what was the most difficult part of the conditions today and how do you feel like you handled your game out there today?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: I would say putting today was probably the toughest. Obviously hitting shots in this wind is hard, but it's hard for everyone.

I think late in the day some of the greens get a little tough after everyone has walked on them. Not that they're in bad shape but when it's blowing 25 off your left and you got a left-to-righter, it's not easy to make anywhere, and especially here.

I felt like I hung in there well. Definitely got frustrated out there a couple times and tried to screw my head back on and get back at it.

Q. How do you do that? What is your process when you get a little bit frustrated? How do you get yourself back on track?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: You know, part of the caddie job is part-time therapist, and Brady has been good at getting me back into a good spot for what's coming up.

Hole 12 today had 110 in and made a bogey. I was not feeling too good about myself after doing that. You know, I got to get my frustration out, but then, all right, back to where we need to be.

You know, kind of finished strong coming down the stretch.

Q. What was the best part of your game today?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: I don't know. I feel like I did a lot of good stuff. I mean, I feel like I drove it relatively well considering the conditions.

I feel like I just played pretty smart. You know, couple mistakes here and there but you're going to make a mistake or two with this wind.

I don't know, I feel like we just have a good game plan of what we're doing out here. Hit a lot of different clubs off different tees all week.

Yeah, being confident with what we're doing.

Q. What's your biggest focus tomorrow to hopefully hoist the trophy at the end of the day?

CHRIS GOTTERUP: Just stick to the game plan and keep my head screwed on straight and making sure I'm hitting good quality shots in this wind.
