Quick Quotes
Q. That's a solid days work. How pleased are you with that, especially after what happened on 18 yesterday?
MARCUS ARMITAGE: Yeah, thanks for mentioning that. Yeah, it hurt a little bit, can't lie. Obviously finished with a 7 yesterday after a pretty good round. I felt like I played nicely yesterday in some pretty tough conditions.
Happy today. I felt like I played the same. Had two really good up-and-downs, and then 16, 17, which saved the round a lot. All in all it was solid.
Q. Feels like with the golf course and conditions this week, control has been the key word. How do you feel that's gone for you so far?
MARCUS ARMITAGE: Yeah, I think so far, I've hit a lot of fairways and I think that's one of the keys. The rough is very tricky. You know, I missed it there on 17, and it's so difficult to read the lies and got a massive fly over the green.
If you can keep it in the fairway you have a chance. But if you get a little bit off, it's really, really tough to find the greens, especially in this wind like yesterday and today, so yeah.
Q. It's been a relaxed atmosphere this week. But the serious business of winning a golf tournament tomorrow kicks in and you're firmly in the mix of that. How excited are you about hopefully knocking one off in the first one of the year?
: Yeah, I mean, probably a little bit of a surprise. I had a lot of time off here.
So yeah, it's definitely nice to be in this position going into tomorrow, and you know, this course, I really like it. I've been here quite a lot over the last few years, and like you said, I know a lot of the amateurs that plays this week. It's very relaxed and a lot of fun on the golf course.
