Q. How are you feeling heading into 2026?

JAYDEN SCHAPER: Obviously last year was such a great finish to the year, having those two events back home with the family watching and going down to Mauritius and having another incredible week, yeah, just looking forward to start this run now.

These weeks are always one of my favourites of the year, and to come in, the weather is good and golf course is always perfect, it's an awesome place to be.

Q. When you look back at those last three weeks on tour before the end of the year, how do you reflect on that and what's it done now for your career?

JAYDEN SCHAPER: It's a massive boost. I think it's more of like, I've been out here for a few years now, and to get your first win is always just a massive bonus.

But then to wait five years for your first win and get the second one week after, that's just special. And winning in a playoff, it's a bit different. It's a tougher way to win.

But yeah, just a huge confidence boost just to know that you belong out here, and it's nice to be in a position to do that.

Q. A rare opportunity to win three in a row. How do you feel your chances are this week?

JAYDEN SCHAPER: Yeah, course is really nice. It's got that desert feel, and you're on the water, on the lagoon. It's really nice. I do enjoy it. Obviously you want to win every week. That's what we're doing out here. It will be a nice extra boost to the season. That's the goal.

Q. Starting a new year, one has goals and aspirations, I suppose they may have changed after what happened at the end of last year. So what are your thoughts ahead of the year?

JAYDEN SCHAPER: You always plan to win every event you play in, but goals have changed a little bit. But you still want to be top of the rankings by the end of the year, and you always want to, up until this point, I always wanted to get my first win. Now it's trying to get to the third win and just build on the start to the season.

But yeah, you just want to kind of stick in to the end of the year.
