Q. Richard, a dominating performance all week, 21-under for the four rounds. You've won six tournaments in your professional career before this. How does this week rank compared to everything you've achieved?
RICHARD T. LEE: To be honest, it was pretty nerve-racking the first two rounds because you've got to come top 20 and advance to the next round. It felt a lot different from the regular tournaments out there that I've played. I just got it done.
Q. For a one-week performance in your career, is there anything that's matched this do you think?
RICHARD T. LEE: I mean, I've shot better scores, but I thought I played pretty solid this week. I don't think I made that many mistakes, and I think I made two bogeys this whole week. I think it was a pretty solid week this week.
Q. Has it sunk in yet?
RICHARD T. LEE: My head is actually very -- I don't know, I feel dinged up right now for some reason. I think I'm just -- yeah, it's not sunk in yet, to be honest.
Q. Did you have a chance to get exempt into the second round? What was the process there?
RICHARD T. LEE: Yeah, so I had things to take care of back in Korea with family stuff, so I didn't think I would have got it all done before LIV Promotions. I decided not to play. Then last minute, I got everything done and asked for the invite, and here I am.
Q. Do you think there's a reason things happen?
RICHARD T. LEE: I think so. I strongly believe in karma.
Q. Obviously you had a healthy lead out there. Was there a moment during the round where you kind of allowed yourself to think about that you'd already clinched a spot, or were you still grinding hard just to make sure you ended up on top?
RICHARD T. LEE: I was grinding hard until 16, and then it really sunk in on 17. I just thought to myself, I got this.
Q. You've had a pretty nice career. Probably a few years ago you wouldn't even have thought about having an opportunity to do this. Trying to wrap your head around that in terms of this new opportunity, the guys you'll be facing, Bryson, Jon Rahm, those guys, kind of where your journey has taken you these last five, six years?
RICHARD T. LEE: Definitely have to hit it longer to keep up with those guys and maybe get my short game a little bit more sharper. I think this year when I play with them or see them play, I think I can learn a few things and probably upgrade my game a little bit more.
Q. Did you perhaps send a message this week, given how consistent you played, that it wasn't just a one-round fluke? You pretty much dominated all four rounds this week.
RICHARD T. LEE: I didn't really think about it too much, but yeah, just this whole week, I was thinking to myself, don't make any mistakes. Beginning of the week I told my caddie I love these greens. These are the greens that I actually practice on. Especially the course with the windy conditions and all, it was just perfect for my game.
Q. I know I asked you this earlier in the week, but obviously you're the first Canadian player on LIV Golf. What does that mean to you? What do you think it means to your country and representing your country in that regard?
RICHARD T. LEE: Well, I think more Canadians should come in and we should make a team.
Q. 21-under total for the week; how many times have you gone that low over the course of a week?
RICHARD T. LEE: Not that many times, to be honest. I think last year I had a few of them, and I still didn't win, to be honest.
I think this week, 21-under on this course is absolutely amazing. I'm very pleased with my game right now.
Q. What is a bigger deal, the 21-under this week or the fact that you only had two bogeys this week?
RICHARD T. LEE: I think the two bogeys, to be honest. Two bogeys on this course is pretty good playing, I think.
Q. You mentioned the greens; was that kind of the key to putting it all together this week?
RICHARD T. LEE: I think just the course layout, as well. It just really fits the fade shots that I have and the low fade shots just to keep it in the fairway. The greens definitely helped me out a lot. I was very comfortable on the greens this week.
