Q. How has it been in Miami for the Orange Bowl?

TEITUM TUIOTI: We're excited. We're glad that we're here. Just understanding that this is a big trip, though. This is a big trip for our team. We understand that we came here for a mission.

Q. Speaking of business trips, the Rose Bowl last year didn't go the way you wanted. Are there lessons you can take from that game to help this year?

TEITUM TUIOTI: Yeah, for sure. That's something that we continue to harp on. No matter what game it is, we always go back to it and just try to fix any problems that we have. So I think going into this game, we've sharpened everything and we're ready to go.

Q. With the Big Ten and the structure of the Big Ten having to go to Rutgers, having to go to Iowa, places like that, does it help having come east so many times, do you think, and making this game a little easier?

TEITUM TUIOTI: Yeah, for sure it helps. We've traveled many places this year. We understand how to travel and understand what we have to do. Really ready for this opportunity that we have.

Q. What impresses you about Texas Tech?

TEITUM TUIOTI: Shoot, I would say they play really hard. Their offense is explosive. They make great decisions. They're just very productive offense.

Q. From the second half of the James Madison game, is that some sort of motivation to come out here this week and play four quarters better?

TEITUM TUIOTI: Yeah, we all know that that wasn't to our standard at the end of the game. We understand that we're going to showcase something new, but the great thing is we have another opportunity. Like I said, we got after it, made sure we fixed our mistakes, and we'll come out ready to go.

Q. You're a native of Hawai'i. I'd imagine unlike some of your teammates you're used to all this sun and sand and beaches growing up in Hawai'i, but is it nice to get out of Eugene and go to a place like this for a few days?

TEITUM TUIOTI: Yeah, it's cool. I was only in Florida one other time, and that was when I was a kid. It's nice to be out of Eugene and experience new things.
