Q. You finished up that Big 12 Championship, playing in a big bowl game, the Orange Bowl. What's scared you about this defense?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: You know, they've got a good defense, but I'm pretty sure we're prepared. We worked real hard. We had a lot of practices. I'm pretty sure we're going to be okay.

Q. What's unique about your running style and your running offense?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: Our offense is pretty good. My running style, I just like getting in space, getting as much as I can in space.

Q. What do you like to tell people about your team?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: That we're just real close. We play as a team. As long as you worry about us, we're good.

Q. This bowl game coming to fruition, talk about that.

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: Being here in Miami is really amazing. I've never been here, so it's all new to me. I'm happy to be here. We just kept preaching, it's about us. Thankful to the Lubbock community. They had a big role in our season this year.

Q. What was it like when you guys saw -- when you were doing the selection show and you saw you were No. 4? What was the feeling like as a team?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: That feeling was great. Just seeing that on the board shows you how hard -- it just shows how hard we worked. We deserved to be there. Just happy to be here. I'm ready to go. Everybody is.

Q. What did you guys think of -- I'm sure you guys were watching the James Madison-Oregon game. What was your first reaction when Oregon won?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: They're both really good teams. I think we had our minds set on who we were going to play already, and we're here now.

Q. Is there anything that you're looking forward to in this game that you haven't been able to experience so far in your career?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: I mean, playing in the Dolphins stadium. It'll be really fun playing in the stadium.

Q. Have you played in an NFL stadium before?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: I'm not sure.

Q. When you played Oklahoma State, you had that huge kickoff return. What were you thinking?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: When I fielded the ball, I hit the hole. When I seen I had broke that first tackle, I was ready to just get on the horse and get to the end zone.

Q. How do you manage your time between practice and schoolwork?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: You know, we usually have a schedule that we have, so we'll probably practice in the morning, I'll probably go to rehab, do all that. I'll go eat, and then I'll have class. So I'll be studying for that. Just do it like that.

Q. What do you do when you have to travel?

J'KOBY WILLIAMS: When we travel, we usually bring our computers, so any work that we get for the week, we just finish it there. We get it done pretty good.
