Pasadena, California, USA
Alabama Crimson Tide
Press Conference
DOMANI JACKSON: You know, it feels amazing. Just here two years ago, my first time even thinking about coming to Alabama was at the Rose Bowl. So it's just a big circle. Happy to be here.
Q. Is it crazy to think back, you committed to play for Coach Saban and two years later you're here and so much has changed?
DOMANI JACKSON: Exactly. Everyone in the locker room, the whole facility was saying the same thing, this is a big circle, but we're here for a mission.
Q. How many rain games did you play when you were in California?
DOMANI JACKSON: I could probably count on one hand, honestly.
Q. How do you think it's going to be if you guys get some weather?
DOMANI JACKSON: I mean, it's football at the end of the day. We play in sunshine, rainbows, snow, rain. It's football, at the end of the day, so we've got to go out there and compete.
Q. Did you have a favorite memory of the Rose Bowl growing up?
DOMANI JACKSON: Probably the Penn State-USC game when it came down to the wire.
Q. Did you go to any of them growing up?
DOMANI JACKSON: I actually didn't. I didn't go to one.
Q. There's a lot of things going on this week for everybody. How do you do you make sure your teammates stay focused? What do you say to each other to keep the goal at hand?
DOMANI JACKSON: Like I say, we came here for a mission to win, ultimately, the Rose Bowl. We can't get distracted by everything that's out there. I know it's a big city and what not, but we came here for a reason.
Q. Kane talked about the importance of takeaways this week. Indiana has only turned the ball over eight times. How important will it be and how do you make sure you do that?
DOMANI JACKSON: Ultimately, everything happens in practice. So what you do it in practice, it will translate to the game. They have a great quarterback, great running backs, but we play downhill, we play physical. That's what we're going to do.
Q. What's this season been like?
DOMANI JACKSON: Yeah, I mean, ultimately, you know everyone sees I had a few hiccups and what not, but that doesn't define who I am as a player. I come to practice each and every day giving all I can, 100 percent. Do it for my family, my teammates, everyone in that building. And just go 1-0.
Q. How many people have you got coming to this game?
DOMANI JACKSON: 40-plus.
