Quick Quotes
JOHN DALY: We both knew if we could maybe make eagle we might still be able to play with the Kuchars tomorrow. Hopefully it works out.
Q. With that leaderboard so tight, what's the mindset going into tomorrow's round?
JOHN DALY: He's the horse and the saddle. That's all there is to it.
Q. Love it. You guys have quite the support out there as well just looking into the crowd. Were there any Hog calls out there today?
JOHN DALY II: No hog calls. A lot of, Go Hogs, but no Hog calls.
Q. What was your guys' strategy? You guys play out here so much. Did you guys have a strategy today of how you wanted to attack the course?
JOHN DALY: Well, we didn't get off to the best of starts. We were even par after two and the Kuchars got hot quick and we kind of fed off them a little bit. It was just one of those great days, good ball striking.
Like I said, if I could have given Little John a few better reads on the greens I think we could have went a little lower.
He played great; I never really play that great, but that's all right in my life right now.
JOHN DALY II: No, he hit it good. Just a few putts that were close to going in. But hit wedges close tomorrow and have some more fun.
Q. What did you hit on the last?
JOHN DALY II: 8-iron.
Q. From?
JOHN DALY II: 190, a little downwind.
Q. You remember those days, John?
JOHN DALY: Yeah, long way away. They're gone, Bub. You know that.
Q. LJ, you got your first two collegiate wins this past year. Is what aspects has your golf game improved in the past 12 months?
JOHN DALY II: Just my attitude has gotten a little better and just not really caring. Just going out there and having fun. At the end of the day golf doesn't define me. Just happy to be able to play every day and go out there and have fun.
Q. For those of you us standing behind the green and couldn't measure it, what was the distance on that eagle putt?
JOHN DALY II: Ten feet.
JOHN DALY: Was it ten?
JOHN DALY II: Ten feet-ish.
JOHN DALY: Ten, twelve.
Q. One last one LJ. The question is why do you like golf so much. What I mean by that is no matter what your dad has done you still have to find the pleasure on your own. How did you do that?
JOHN DALY II: I mean, it was very easy to get into golf growing up daycare and watching him play all the time being homeschooled throughout -- right before middle school.
So I just fell in love with it at young age and, yeah, just been going at it since.
Q. You ever practice putting in daycare?
JOHN DALY II: If they had a putting green I would.
