Q. For a Game 7 start like this with everything that's on the line, what does this mean to you to be the guy that's chosen?
SHANE BIEBER: It means everything. Very excited for the opportunity. I think a culmination of a lot of events and hard work to get to this point and a lot of things had to line up, most notably the first six games of the series and Trey and the guys that come up big tonight to lead to tomorrow. It will be no different than the other games of this series. It's an opportunity for every single one of us to go out there and do what we can to win.
Q. How does this group feed off one another, this starting pitcher group feed off one another leading to a Game 7?
SHANE BIEBER: Yeah, I think especially just throughout the playoffs, we've been doing a really good job of passing the baton, so to speak. Ultimately, every game is an individual game and that's the beautiful thing about baseball. You never know how it's going to unfold, right? So I'm excited to get out there tomorrow and get it started.
Q. Big win for you guys tonight. Wondering what your emotions were watching your team win Game 6?
SHANE BIEBER: Pretty calm, honestly. This team just has kind of an uncanny ability to stay within themselves. That's kind of how it feels in the clubhouse, on the plane, on the field. Yeah, it's been an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Even though I joined here a little bit late, it's something that I definitely don't take for granted and this group of guys is definitely a special group. Yeah, I feel like extremely confident in this group.
Q. What did you learn from facing this team in Game 3?
SHANE BIEBER: Just to be myself. I feel like I have numerous ways to attack guys and to get guys out. As long as I go out there and execute, I think I'll put the team in a good position.
Q. Obviously, you were a trade deadline acquisition. Does it feel like tomorrow Game 7 ALCS, that's why you were brought here?
SHANE BIEBER: Sure. I don't know how many starts I'm at right now, but that's how it's felt every start, right? Like I said, it's been a culmination of a lot of events and dominoes to get to this point. This is what I love to do and I'm grateful for every opportunity. At this point last year I didn't have this opportunity with the organization that I was with in Cleveland there in the LCS as well. I was there cheering guys on from the dugout and competing from a different, in a different aspect. But now I get the ball tomorrow and I'm extremely excited for it.
