Quick Quotes
Q. What are you most proud of your round today?
YUVRAJ SANDHU: I think for me, one thing I'm really proud of is I stayed disciplined off the tee. Literally had a hot putter from 15. I had a clean card otherwise and I was patient throughout the round. You've just got to be patient and it will pay you back?
Q. Can you run through your round, what were the holes that you felt you could have done better and where do you think you exceeded expectations?
YUVRAJ SANDHU: It was a good start. Started off with a birdie. I had birdie looks all the way to the eighth hole and I made one again on the eighth. I was minus two on the front nine, looking at about a 7-under par round today but going to the back nine -- putter didn't stand out from 15 feet. I couldn't place the ball off the tee into the green. Just a whisper here, a whisper there, that's what golf is.
So just going to go out there and do the same thing tomorrow, and hope for the best.
Q. Did you use driver?
YUVRAJ SANDHU: I just pulled out my driver on the 10th hole today. Wanted to pull out the driver on 18 but there was like a ten-minute delay. But still ended up making a good four. That's the whole plan, just to make good numbers on a decent hole and just be patient.
Q. Getting your DP World Tour card -- does it play into your mind when you have everyone chasing your score?
YUVRAJ SANDHU: No, I don't worry about anybody chasing me. I'm myself chasing my dreams and my goals, which is to play on the PGA TOUR. Teeing up at DP and getting my DP World Tour card as soon as possible will just get me one step closer to playing the PGA TOUR. In fact, I would love for a lot of Indians to have DP World Tour card and have that pathway to the PGA TOUR and the Masters and the majors because I think it's high time that Indian golf gets a lot of visibility on a global level.
We've all been working hard and we've grown up together, and anybody who plays well absolutely deserves it.
Q. What was the standout hole today or what was the standout shot?
YUVRAJ SANDHU: I think my standout hole would be the last hole. Me and my caddie were going back and forth where to pull out the last hole even after a ten-minute wait and I pulled out a two higher, hit it in the middle and 3-wood to the heart of the green. I think that just gave me a little bit of extra confidence going into tomorrow, and just a little bit of comfort, as well.
