Quick Quotes
WEI LING HSU: That shot really surprise me, obviously. I had a good experience yesterday. Was like 140, just front side of the green. I had a perfect number yesterday and I told my caddie before I hit the shot, I was like, you know what? It was perfect yesterday with the 8-iron but we're a little bit further. Maybe we want to go 7-iron, a little bit -- have three quarter swing.
He agree with me and I was like, okay, let's do this. So I hit my 7-iron 145 and landed five or six yards shorter. It rolled towards the pin, but because the sun was against me so I can't really see it until like the people, the spectator are like cheering for me and yelling. So at that point I was like, oh, my God, I actually made it. So, yeah.
Q. So you didn't have any reaction or anything like that because you didn't really see it go in?
WEI LING HSU: I was like, oh. I have to double check. I wasn't that sure if it was really close or did I make it, because of course like they really yelling, but I was like, you know, just be sure that was 100% in and then celebrate it.
Q. Did it feel good when you hit it? Did you feel like it was a good shot?
WEI LING HSU: I hit that shot and I'm like, this is good. Like it's going to be like level, going to be like birdie putt and almost better than I expected. I was like, yeah, just maybe get a birdie chance.
But until I heard that yell from people.
Q. As you got closer did you realize there was only two balls there, like your ball wasn't on the green?
WEI LING HSU: I mean, the spectator keep yelling all the way while I was walk down to the green, so I knew I was already made that. I mean, I got experience last year in Malaysia so I kind of know how it feels.
This year I've been having a couple time that -- you know, earlier in the year I had like two like shot into the -- like 120 pitching wedge, so I made couple time this year, so I feel like kind of got used to. I'm not really saying used to it, but kind of like I can easily believe that now.
Usually I will just be like no, this has not happened on me.
Q. How many hole-in-ones have you had before?
WEI LING HSU: Just one last year in Malaysia. This is my second in the tournament.
Q. And also, if you remember from Malaysia last year, there will be a donation made on your behalf.
WEI LING HSU: Yes. They have it this time?
Q. Yes, for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
WEI LING HSU: Yes.
Q. What does that mean just to hear that and how special that is?
WEI LING HSU: Last year I didn't know because I always feel like hole-in-one is not my thing until last year. You told me last year we have donation about the hole-in-one and I was kind of keep in mind. Of course not only happy about hole-in-one and happy about I can do something for the donation so it was really good.
Q. And just talking, too, 4-under today as well.
WEI LING HSU: Yes.
Q. Talk about the past two days and how your game has felt.
WEI LING HSU: Yeah, I actually feel kind of the same yesterday and today, but yesterday I had a few driver that I hit into the bunker that I really feel like I didn't do a good job yesterday.
So I just try to put in the fairway today and try to save those unnecessary bogey I feel like. Yesterday I feel like I just chip out from the bunker, kind of waste the shot. Today I just tried to stay away from the bunker and obviously couple putt dropped. Of course hole-in-one dropped so that really helps.
