U.S. WOMEN'S MID-AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

October 9, 2025

Hanley Long

Pebble Beach, California, USA

Monterey Peninsula C.C.

Quick Quotes

Q. What a day. What's going through your mind?

HANLEY LONG: Yeah, no, it was an absolute battle out there the entire day. Hats off to our champion. She absolutely crushed it today. Honestly, I'm just so proud of my grit and determination throughout the entire day, keeping my head up and held high and never giving up.

Q. What kind of fire does this give you the next few mid-ams?

HANLEY LONG: I know I can at least make it to the finals so that counts for something. I think the biggest takeaway from this week is being in this position and taking it as far as I did.

That definitely builds on some momentum going into next year, but definitely ready for a golf break.

Q. Not only do you get in the Am but you get in the Am in your home state of Tennessee. How pumped are you?

HANLEY LONG: I'm so pumped. I won the 2019 Tennessee Women's Amateur in Chattanooga, so love the city. Even though it's not in my hometown, it's in my home state. I think it'll be a huge turnout and definitely a reason to keep grinding in the spring and in the summer to make a run there.
