OPEN DE FRANCE

September 20, 2025

Brooks Koepka

Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, France

Q. Brooks, brilliant display with that 65. How do you assess your performance today?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, it was pretty good. Putted a lot better. I feel like my game has been trending in the right direction. It's the results haven't been there. I feel a lot closer. I'm pleased with the work I've put in over the last few months, and nothing has shown, so hopefully got a chance to win tomorrow.

Q. You just mentioned we've not seen the best of Brooks the last couple of weeks, but you seem to be back in form right here. What do you specifically put it down to?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Just putting, honestly. I've felt very uncomfortable over the putts pretty much all year. Just been a little bit of hand position. We've got it sorted now where I feel like I'm striking the putts very well, hitting them on line and feeling confident.

And that's honestly half the battle, is feeling confident. And if you're not confident, not there, it's tough to shoot good scores.

I'm pleased with the work I've put in over the last two, three months. It's been a lot of work, so hopefully it pays off.

Q. It's definitely shown here, especially on the back nine. Five straight birdies across arguably the toughest stretch of the golf course. So what did you do differently out there today?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Nothing. I didn't think I drove it particularly great today. Yesterday I thought I drove it fantastic. I just holed putts today. I put myself in the right positions. You got to stay out of the rough early with it being wet. It wasn't the greatest place to be. But found a way to get it through.

Q. You seem like you've been going for pins out there playing, playing aggressively. Do you reckon you'll have the same approach going into the final round tomorrow?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, it kind of depends. I think the rain kind of softened it up. The golf course was getting -- I don't want to say firm, but it was definitely a lot firmer than it was today. But with the rain, it kind of softened it up and allowed you to attack a few pins, especially the back ones, they were spinning backward yesterday.

Q. More rain tomorrow?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Whatever works.
