Q. You were playing a really high-quality match. Just talk about the match, not the way you wanted to win, of course.

TALLON GRIEKSPOOR: Yes, thank you. Very unfortunate ending to what I thought was a high-quality match, like you said.

I thought first set we were both serving really, really well. Was not much to do on his serve and neither on mine. I thought he played a very, very high-level tiebreak where he hit a couple of lines, couple of aces, so not much to do there.

Just very happy, content with how I stayed in the second set. Got a little bit lucky by saving that Love-40 on 4-3. Yeah, like I said, not the way you want to win, brutal conditions here. I wasn't really fresh either myself. Yeah, I wish him a speedy recovery, and hopefully we see him back very soon.

Q. Six of six break points saved, that was huge. Talk about that.

TALLON GRIEKSPOOR: Yeah, like I said, especially that Love-40 on 4-3 where I served I think two aces, and got lucky on one where he missed the ball. Yeah, just tried to stay in there, hang in there, do the best I can, and give myself a chance towards the end of the set.

Then, out of nowhere, I broke him on 5-all, and it all went a little bit my way. So, yeah, pleased with my own performance, and looking forward to the next one.

Q. In the two sets you played do you have the impression that once you get into the rally before him it was pretty tough to hit the winner against you today?

TALLON GRIEKSPOOR: Yeah, I mean, the court is, the balls are extremely slow. The balls are like bowling balls, they're so big, especially in the night. So, after a couple of games when they're getting older there's not much to do. Even though I think we're both guys who can hit through the ball, through the court, but very, very difficult to do so here in the evening.

Yeah, like I said, I felt comfortable in the rallies today against him. I felt like he couldn't really put me away in one, two shots. Yeah, like I said, pleased with the way how I did it.

Q. After last few weeks this result is very important for you. Just wonder if, coming here, you had this impression, starting with Chengdu.

TALLON GRIEKSPOOR: Well, the U.S. trip was very, very poor from my side. I have to say, coming to Asia I played better in Chengdu and Beijing, but didn't win a match. Got a bit unlucky there. Just tried to keep doing my thing, change a couple of things, and just work hard every day and wait for the chances.

I know my level is good enough to be here, to compete with these guys, so, yeah, just stay confident in my game, in my mental side, physical side, and, yeah, kept trying every day.
