Q. You know what it’s like to start a postseason game here in Philadelphia. You did it early in your career, and you’ve seen how the experience is and you’ve grown in that regard. How can you describe what is it like to pitch in these situations and how that experience from the past and this year has helped you?
JESUS LUZARDO: Well, I think that being here in the postseason, on the other side, has helped me a lot on how to handle the energy and the crowd. But at the same time being on this side helps you a lot. But experience has helped me a lot.
I think that this year, for the whole year we’ve had a lot of fans in almost every game at home. And I believe that’s something that prepares us for the postseason as we saw yesterday. It basically feels like how the stadium is for every game.
Q. How have you been able to handle emotions? You show them perfectly on the field when you’re pitching. And sometimes it can play against you but a lot of times it can be in your favor.
JESUS LUZARDO: I believe that you must have balance between the two things, that you want to pitch with a lot of emotion and energy but at the same time you must control emotions, you can’t ride them too high or too low in any situation. I think that’s the most important thing, that you need to try and stay balanced.
And it’s hard obviously in the postseason. Everything matters a little more, but you need to play it, as I said, try to stay as balanced as possible, because when you’re either too high or too low then that’s when problems come.
