October 4, 2025

Allisen Corpuz

Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii, USA

Hoakalei Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Joining me after the final round of the LOTTE Championship is Allisen Corpuz. Allisen, you had a great showing this week. Can you talk about what it means to play well at your home event?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I mean, like I've I've said over and over again, this is the event that I grew up watching. It's definitely what inspired me to be out here today.

And so to just have a good week, it's really special.

Q. How would you categorize your round today? I believe it was five birdies today. Talk a little bit about the round and kind of how you kind of maybe grinded it out in some aspects and other aspects as well?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, absolutely. Got off to a fast start again; birdied 1 and 3. Just played overall really solid the whole day. Had a bit of an oops on 14, but luckily recovered from that. Made two birdies coming in.

So overall really happy with the round today.

Q. To that point, quick follow up to the oopsies as you put it. How do you mentally stay in it?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think just telling myself like overall I've been playing solid. There is still a few more holes left to get something back. I honestly don't feel like I hit that many bad shots just made a few bad decisions. But, no, I mean, like I played really solid all week; mistakes happen out there.

Q. What did you see as your objectives for the last seven events?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it's felt like my swing has been coming around. I think I picked up some distance this past year. Just trying to keep the momentum going. Finally been seeing a few putts go in as well.

So I don't know. I've never really been like a huge goal setter. It's more just every day go out there and try to shoot the best that I can. Just hoping for a few more good finishes to finish outs the year.

Q. On your way in from 18 it looked like you had quite a few balls and everything to sign, hats and whatnot. What are those moments like for you, especially here at home?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it's really special. Our Tour doesn't exist without the fans and spectators. I also had a lot of family and friends out watching as well. I have two high school friends that came out. I don't think I've seen them since high school.

No, it's really special to be out here and kind of be on the other side of the ropes this time.

Q. I know you did not play this event last year, I believe. I don't think if anyone asked before, but was it just a timing thing last year or curious?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it was really just a scheduling thing. I played Japan the week before and Florida was the week after, so it was more just trying to get some rest before the last two events of the season.

It was a huge bummer. I mean, I love coming back to this event. Just one of those years where it didn't work out.

Q. I know the schedule is a little different where you're going to Asia now. Everyone is. Do you like it better that way? Does it set up better for you?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Absolutely. Especially with this being a Saturday finish we have an extra day to get over there to get some rest in. I won't play all of Asia as well. Take a few weeks off before Florida.
