NL DIVISION SERIES: CUBS VS BREWERS

October 4, 2025

Jackson Chourio

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

American Family Field

Milwaukee Brewers

Postgame 1 Press Conference

Brewers 9, Cubs 3

Q. Jackson, first and foremost, how are you feeling, and are you concerned at this point?

JACKSON CHOURIO: No, good. I'm just first and foremost happy that we got the win today, and physically I feel good.

Q. Jackson, in that moment you were kind of looking up, you looked frustrated. Were you frustrated to come out of the game, or were you frustrated that you felt that again? What were you thinking in that moment?

JACKSON CHOURIO: It was just frustrating with the moment, but once kind of talking and having the advantage that we had there in the game, it was kind of a little bit more precautionary there to come out of the game.

Q. I'm just wondering, how similar or different do you feel now compared to after that triple when you hurt your hamstring there, running out that triple against the Cubs?

JACKSON CHOURIO: No, I feel good right now. Compared to the last time that this happened, I feel like I'm in a very good position.

Q. Jackson, have they given you an actual diagnosis? Did they tell you it was a strain or anything, or are you still waiting to hear on that?

JACKSON CHOURIO: No, they haven't said anything. We're still waiting. But physically I feel good, and I feel in a position where I'm ready to keep going and keep competing.

Q. You had a big postseason against the Mets last year, got off to a really fast start today. What is it about you that enables you to kind of play as well as possible in these pressure situations in the postseason?

JACKSON CHOURIO: Yeah, I think it's the adrenaline. I love playing in these pressure moments, and really, I see it as a blessing being able to compete and to be able to have the results that I've had. But really just playing in these moments. I treat it as a blessing.

Q. Jackson, how big was it after five days off to come out and do that in the first inning, and did the atmosphere in the stands strike you as different than other Cubs-Brewers games?

JACKSON CHOURIO: You know, I think with the fans, it definitely felt like a different environment than other games we've played against them. You could definitely feel them, and you could feel the energy that they were bringing. It was kind of like a different kind of pressure that they brought to the game today, and yeah, it was great.
