Quick Quotes
Q. All right, joining me today after the third round of the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei is Allisen Corpuz. Allisen, finished even today. Can you talk about your round?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, got off to a pretty fast start. Birdied 2 and 3 and then unfortunately gave it back on the back nine.
But overall really happy with it. Played really solid. Just got really windy on the back nine.
Q. I started following you on 16. Did you have to hit out of the creek there or by the creek? What was it like fighting your way from that point?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, just missed the drive a little. It was on the grass but in the hazard and punched it out. Didn't hit a very good third shot but made the up and down for bogey there.
Then hit a really good drive on 17 and actually a pretty decent second shot. The wind just got a hold of it and moved a little left and then missed that up and down as well. Made a really solid par on the last. Excited to play tomorrow.
Q. I was about to ask, tomorrow, how do you see your approach going into the day, where you hope to kind of maneuver?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I mean, a lot of people are going low out here, so just going to try to throw up a bunch of birdies tomorrow. Hopefully just hit it a little closer, make a few more putts. I'm really excited. I think I have a lot of family and friends coming out to watch as well. Looking forward to it.
Q. I like that you're still smiling. You know, a lot of interesting things happened out there. You had an opportunity on the back nine to -- if you had done what you are capable of doing, you could be right in contention. So you have any more to add about how you -- like you say, snap and clear kind of thing?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: What's that last thing?
Q. Take what you can out of this and forget about it and move forward for tomorrow.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I thought I played really solid. Just didn't make as many putts as I would've wanted to. Yeah, I don't think we judged the wind very well coming in. I felt like I hit a lot of the solid shots. Just looking forward to getting few better numbers tomorrow and making a few more putts.
Q. Was the wind the roughest today of the three days?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Sorry?
Q. Was the wind the roughest today of the three days?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: I would say it picked up the most today at least for the waves that I was in.
Q. You and your old teammate, Mariel, are at 7-under.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: No way.
Q. Yeah. Curious about your memories of playing together at Punahou. You went on to rival Pac-12 schools. Were you seeing her in the same events?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: We go way back. I think we've been playing junior golf since we were seven years careers old. I would love to be paired with her tomorrow. That would be so much fun.
I know her dad, Uncle Roger, is on the bag as well this week. No, I mean, played with her a ton growing up.
I would say not too much through college, but we definitely kept in touch. She is still a really close friend of mine and really happy to see her playing well today.
