Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
Q. Nice 2 & 1 victory. What was your first experience like At The International Crown?
BROOKE HENDERSON: The front nine was a little bit rough. We weren't too happy after the first eight holes, but then after that we got really hot and made some birdies, and the ending was very fun.
Q. Tell us about the ending.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Wei-Ling played amazing. She made two amazing putts on 16 and 17 that really got the job done for us. I feel like overall we complemented each other pretty well.
WEI-LING HSU: I think the key would be like 9, 10, 11, especially when we were down and we were able to flip around.
Q. What kind of adrenaline do you get when you start getting one of those birdies to really help you overcome that deficit?
WEI-LING HSU: I think at the beginning, like Brooke said, we were probably not really used to it. With the first couple holes we were kind of rusty, but when we made the turn I think we kept our thinking positive the whole way, so when we were making the turn we were just like, hey, I think the putts should go in, and then they started dropping.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, when the momentum changed, then that was really big for us. We could feel it.
Q. Have you two played a lot of golf together in tournaments?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Not a lot.
WEI-LING HSU: Maybe once a year. Last year we played in Korea together, as well. But ever since then we don't --
BROOKE HENDERSON: No, our lockers are always right beside each other, H's, so we do see each other a lot, so I feel like we've always been good friends and we've been on Tour the same amount of time. So that's been nice.
But yeah, we don't play together a lot, but this was really neat today.
Q. Was there anything you learned about each other's games today?
BROOKE HENDERSON: I feel like what I thought was true. Her putting is really good, and she's really consistent. She hit a lot of really close shots which set us up for a birdie or at least really good looks, which was good.
WEI-LING HSU: For me I felt like my driver was a little bit off. I feel like in the group I should be the one more defensive, more straight, but today a lot of balls I was off and I'm never on the fairway.
But Brooke, not just hitting really far but also middle of the fairway really released my pressure.
Q. Brooke, you waited a long time for this. How did it compare to what you had thought in your mind?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, for sure. I've been so excited for this, and I've been waiting for it for so long. To have the opportunity to play here, I think it's just super cool, and I have amazing teammates, which is awesome.
I'm just really excited for this weekend and to continue to hopefully play really well and hopefully play on Sunday.
Q. You're both really competitive. When you get to a 3-down point, what do you tell yourselves to flip that match and come back and win it?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Wei-Ling made a nice birdie on 1 but then we kind of stalled out and we weren't really making any birdies, so I feel like for us it was just try to hit really good shots to give ourselves birdie looks and then we were able to make 9, 10, 11 and then nice ones on 16 and 17 as well. So just kind of got us going.
Q. Team dinner tonight?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Team dinner tonight.
Q. How would you describe the chemistry between -- you don't have much in common in terms of a country, so how are you gelling?
BROOKE HENDERSON: We all know each other really well because we've been on Tour the same amount of time pretty much, which is good, and I feel like we're all friends. This week I feel like we're just getting closer.
WEI LING HSU: Yeah, of course.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Looking forward to the team dinner.
WEI LING HSU: Can't wait.
Q. Wei-Ling, how different is this time around compared to when you first played for Chinese Taipei a few years ago?
WEI LING HSU: Obviously we know each other for a long time but we're not really playing together or as a team or always hanging out. So it's a little bit, I'm not sure should I be what kind of person right next to her to be more let her do her thing, or should I give her some support. I feel like I don't know what should I say, but hopefully I can give her some words to cheer us up. I tried to be fun.
But playing with Chinese Taipei I can kind of say whatever I want, so yeah.
Q. You said the right thing, obviously.
BROOKE HENDERSON: She did a good job.
