Q. You guys have played four matches together, and you've never lost. Tyrell with huge putts on 12 and 13; you on 14. What did it take to get that first match on the board?

JON RAHM: Well we were aware it was going to be a tough day. Two of their better favorites up there, two of the crowd favorites. We knew the crowd was going to be loud, and well, we are going to need our best. And even though we didn't have our best start during the first seven holes, we battled, we stayed in it and from then on we started hitting good shots and getting really positive vibes.

This man is a joy to be partnered with. We spend a lot of time together and he can be very, very dependable when things get going difficult. I have full confidence every single time, and just glad we were able to get it done.

Q. As critical as the putt were down the stretch, how important was that putt at 6 and 7, Jon hitting it from the rough on 6, you from behind a stick on 7?

TYRRELL HATTON: Obviously the tee shot on 6 wasn't great. But Jon hit an amazing recovery shot, and I don't think anyone thought that we'd be putting second.

And then, yeah, I mean, the second shot into 7 is a little bit of a hit-and-hope. Thankfully it kind of went straight. We're fortunate to have a clean sort of line. Just hope the stick wouldn't affect it too much.

Yeah, really happy with how we dug in. We knew it was going to be a difficult start, and obviously the atmosphere was pretty intense but it was good fun. Yeah, really happy to win our point this morning.
