Quick Quotes
Q. You saved the best of the week to when it mattered the most. You are the winner of the FedEx Open de France. How does this one feel?
MICHAEL KIM: It feels amazing. I haven't won a tournament since 2018, the John Deere Classic and I really want to put on a good showing here this week, and just so happy and grateful that I was able to come out with a victory.
Q. You mentioned that win at the John Deere Classic. This is your first win on the worldwide stage in seven engineers. Does that really show that your game really belongs on the worldwide stage and how good it is right now?
MICHAEL KIM: Yeah, I've had a really good year on the PGA TOUR this year. This feels like the perfect cherry on top, and you know, I hope to continue this throughout my career.
Q. That putt on 18 to save par, you had everyone in the air, including yourself. What was going through your mind as you stood over that?
MICHAEL KIM: To be honest I felt like I hit a decent bunker shot, that putt, that green slides away so much that I knew it was going to be quick and it just didn't run out as much as I thought. Elvis gave me a decent look from the side, and man, I don't know, it somehow stayed pretty straight through the middle and kind of blacked out when that putt went in.
Q. We could tell how much it meant to you. A week off after this. How will you celebrate?
MICHAEL KIM: I have a flight tomorrow morning but right until that point, I'll be drinking plenty of French wine and some champagne, I'm sure.
