ARMY BLACK KNIGHTS FOOTBALL

September 20, 2025

Briggs Bartosh

West Point, New York, USA

Press Conference

North Texas 45, Army 38 (OT)

Q. Good run there in the first quarter. Tell me about that.

BRIGGS BARTOSH: I mean, it was just all glory to God with that. The mob did a great job. I went untouched 75 yards. That's up front they were doing their job. They made it really easy and I was just lucky to be there and put in that spot, that the coaches put me there.

Q. What did you think about the comeback in the second half? You've got to be proud of that.

BRIGGS BARTOSH: Absolutely, I'm proud of the team. I foe we're always going to fight, we're always going to play to the end of the game. Just got to stick to the fundamentals and going to come back better next week.

Q. Was there anything Coach said during that comeback to rile you guys up?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: I mean, I just think kind of collectively as a whole team, coaches, players, everybody, it was just like come back like we're going to win this game. It all started with a belief, and just belief in the plan, belief in the coaches and everybody coming together.

Q. Briggs, can you talk about the fullbacks, the play of the fullbacks today?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: Just like how they played?

Q. How you think you guys responded today.

BRIGGS BARTOSH: I mean, obviously I think that we can work on some things as a unit. Got to get Hayden a little more healthy. I know I messed up on a couple plays. I think that we played well, though.

Q. On that 75-yard, run, what does it feel like when you see a big hole open up and you're able to accelerate and run down the field? What's that look like for you?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: It's just a blessing to be put in that spot in the first place. You're super proud of the O-line up front and super glad that you have them on your side.

Q. Somebody took out the linebacker and somebody else took out the defensive end and opened up the hole; is that something like that?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: I'm probably going to have to go back on film and re-watch it.

Q. Your running backs, 387 yards today. Your touchdown got it back to 21-7, got the home back so you could start the comeback. What does it feel like when you are able to be productive and have a strong running day?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: It's really just a team effort at the end of the day. I think our team was -- we wanted to come back and wanted to fight that, and then I was just blessed enough to be in a spot to be able to give a little bit of a spark to start the momentum.

Q. Briggs, any key challenge you felt North Texas posed in today's game?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: I mean, they were a great team. They had great fundamentals. They're a good team.

Q. Did you feel the momentum swing after your big touchdown?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: Yeah, I would probably say so. I definitely think we got some juice underneath our feet, and then we were just ready to go, yeah.

Q. You talked about the touchdown run and the mob and they were getting good push all day. I think one of the bright spots of the game was the play of the mob. For the fullback group, do you guys get pumped when your number is called and you get to go in the game and you know you're probably going to get a hole or have a couple yards before you get hit?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: Yeah, absolutely. Those guys are freaking monsters up front so we're glad to have them on our side and always fired up to get in there when they're in there.

Q. I noticed late the staff went with Hayden a lot at B-back. Was that just package? Are you feeling okay, perfectly healthy?

BRIGGS BARTOSH: I'm perfectly healthy. Hayden has just done it day in and day out. He's been doing it for years. Freaking amazing running back. Just, yeah.
