OPEN DE FRANCE

September 18, 2025

Min Woo Lee

Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, France

Le Golf National

Quick Quotes

Q. A 5-under 66. What a way to open up your account here in France. How pleased are you with the way you put up that number?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, it was great. I was pretty in control, which was nice. You know, just a few putts didn't drop early. So finished off with four birdies in a row which is very, very nice, and yeah, kind of -- it was deserving, I guess, with the shots that I was hitting. And yeah, it's just nice to see the ball go where I want it to go.

Q. Well, that's what golf's about, isn't it. What clicked in the stretch of four birdies in a row?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, just holed a few putts. Did everything pretty well. Got a little unlucky on 17. Just went over the back but had a really good up-and-down. Yeah, just was -- hit my approach shots pretty close and then holed the putts.

Q. You're a three-time winner on the DP World Tour, and you play a lot of in the States. How great is it to be back in this environment?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, to see familiar faces and guys that I grew up with and fellow Australians. There are more Australians out here. So it's quite nice. It's just a great camaraderie. I love coming back and playing courses, and obviously Wentworth was amazing. I absolutely love France, too, and happy to be here and play alongside friends.

Q. What about this course, as well? I know you played the French Open in 2023. Different course this year. What do you make of the challenge?

MIN WOO LEE: Yeah, every time you go to a new course, you have to kind of pay attention and not let your mind slip away, just because there's -- it's very reliant on your caddie. You know, Shane has come out and mapped out the course a little bit, and you kind of have to trust him with the lines, just because some of the holes look alike, and you don't know specifically where to hit it.

Yeah, there's a good balance between, you know, playing well, and yeah, trusting.
