Q A 5-under 66 to start your home Open here at The Open de France. How would you assess your day's play?

JULIEN GUERRIER: Very proud. With the scoring, of course, because the last few weeks, I was playing good but I didn't score. And this time, I was playing okay but good. And the scoring, the momentum when I hole on 9 and 18, two bunker shots, so it helps.

Q I think the biggest cheer of the day came on 18 where you finished with a par. How big is it to take into tomorrow, that momentum and keep the par on the card at the last?

JULIEN GUERRIER: It's always nice in front of your crowd, you want to make them happy and give some emotion. So it's always nice to do that.

Of course, I prefer to do hit an iron on the green and two putts, but it's golf, and I take it, of course.

Q So what was the difference today? Why do you think you scored better than you have been in previous weeks?

JULIEN GUERRIER: I think it's all about the momentum. When I was in difficulty and I holed a putt for bogey on 13, for example, and straight after I make a birdie, so I just always keep the momentum and I mean, this sport, it's the key.

Q How special was it playing out there in front of your home fans?

JULIEN GUERRIER: It's really good, especially on this course. It's very charming. It's very beautiful, the golf course. The condition is great. The weather is amazing. So we can't complain.
