KARIS DAVIDSON:
Q. All right, here with Karis Davidson after the first round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship Presented by P&G.
Bogey-free 6-under day today. Briefly just walk through your round today. What was going so well out there today?
KARIS DAVIDSON: Me and my caddie were getting the distances really well and I had three tap-in birdies which always helps.
Holed a long one on 17.
And just overall I would say the game was pretty solid today.
Q. And kind of looked like, at least looking at the stats, a tale of two nines. Hit every fairway and every green on the front, 3-under; missed a few greens and fairways on the back, but still carded a 3-under, same score. What was going on between the two nines?
KARIS DAVIDSON: I think the back nine, I don't want to blame the pace of play, but it did get quite slow. I think I was, on a few shots, a little bit distracted and just didn't commit to them as well.
But, yeah, that's okay. That's just golf.
Q. And we had a few players this week say the course is in great shape; 11 putts on the back nine. Talk about this course, this facility, and overall crowd out here right now.
KARIS DAVIDSON: Yeah, this is one of my favorite events to come to because they really get the community involved and I think they do it so well. We always have the same housing back here and the week is just so fun.
And a three-day event. I love that as well. They've done a great job with the course.
Q. Yeah, and I was about to ask about the three-day event. Does that change your mentality going into the second round just because there are 18 less holes to work with now?
KARIS DAVIDSON: Not really. I mean, you just got to kind of focus on every shot at a time. I guess it just saves energy, which is nice.
Q. Thank you. Great playing.
KARIS DAVIDSON: Thank you.
