Q. Describe the day for us.
ALEX NOREN: It was really nice. I putted well. And I was a little bit worried that coming into the week, I didn't hit it as good as I wanted. Spent a lot of time with my coach on the range and my putting coach is here, too. Tried to practise a lot these last three days, and I think it paid off today. Got the game a lot closer to where I really wanted.
Q. What were you working on this morning?
ALEX NOREN: Just trying to be more neutral in every part of the game, not kind of to out on a limb and go about feels. Rather try to be neutral, same in putting and same in chipping.
I get on course and bad shots are a little straighter and it's easier to play with, especially with wind like this. Coming down 15 to 18, had a little bit easier time not to over-fade it in the left-to-right wind, and it helps a lot.
Q. You were fifth in 2023. So you obviously like this place. What is it about Yas Links that you do like?
ALEX NOREN: I think it's a beautiful place. I said to all the Americans about this place, and I think it's in unbelievable shape and it's fun to play, and especially when it's windy like this, some shots are tough and interesting. I think we are blessed to be able to play tournaments on courses like this.
