Q. Best round of the week, 63 today.
MARCO PENGE: Obviously got off to a great start, starting birdie, birdie, birdie. I mean, I played great all week. The putter has been very cold up until today. Yesterday I was poor mentally and broke myself down a bit and wanted to come out today and fight back, and that's what I did. Yeah, nice to shoot a low one.
Q. What is it yesterday you weren't happy with?
MARCO PENGE: My patience had ton, it frustration. I'm not a guy who gets frustrated or angry and yesterday really tested me and it's probably one of the worst mental performances of the year. Had a chat with my psychologist last night and a good chat with my caddie and team and reset for today.
Today the goal was to be as patient and accepting as possible and see what happens and I did, and yeah, I'm proud of myself the way I fought back.
Q. The main story of the week is about you trying to catch Rory in that Race to Dubai. Today were you trying to be a bit more aggressive?
MARCO PENGE: If anything today I was a little more at times took my foot -- picked and choosed where to attack. The first three days, I was trying to attack as hard as I could, and I think that was why -- part of my patience being poor.
Today was back to the process and be aggressive inside 150 and take my medicine outside of that. Yeah, short-sided myself on 17 but can't get everything right. Just real good performance every other part of my game. Mentally, me and my caddie were great today, and nice to go into next week shooting that score today.
