THE MODERATOR: All right, here with Nasa Hataoka, winner of the 2025 TOTO Japan Classic. I asked you on the car ride up here, is this the most unique win of your career?
NASA HATAOKA: (Through translation.) Yeah, I would say this was a unique win for me. It was unfortunate that tournament got shortened to 54 holes, but I had the playoff and it and became the par-3 or par-5. (?) That was surprise, but I would say it was unique.
Q. It's been a little bit since your last win on the LPGA Tour. How good does this win feel, especially to do it in your home country?
NASA HATAOKA: (Through translation.) Since this August my feeling came back so I was a little bit getting confident. And win in Japan, in front of Japanese fan, I'm so glad to make a win.
Q. Speaking of confidence, you've been playing some really good golf. Couple Top 10 finishes; now a win. How much confidence do you have heading into CME, a course and a tournament you've played very well at in the past?
NASA HATAOKA: (Through translation.) So, so far I had experience runner-up twice in the past, so my ultimate goal was to win at CME golf Tour Championship, so I'm trying to do my best.
