ABU DHABI HSBC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

November 8, 2025

Nicolai Højgaard

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Yas Links

Quick Quotes

Q. 65 out there on Yas Links today. How was that?

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: It almost felt like it was a perfect round of golf. I played really nice. I was in control of the golf ball, and I played the first nine really, really good, and set me up for a good back nine.

Same yesterday. Probably got a little defensive on the back nine with my putting and felt like I left a couple. But obviously very, very happy with where I'm at.

Q. A few players struggled with the back nine. Is there anything about the course setup that's slightly tricky on the back nine?

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: I think there's a couple tucked pins, a lot of slope around the holes. You play a few more holes and that's wind on the back nine coming in, makes the pins -- the back pin on 16, it's a long way back to it. But if you're in control of your golf ball, there's a lot of chances.

Q. How much do you think winning before gives you an advantage tomorrow?

NICOLAI HØJGAARD: Done it before. But yeah, it's a new day. Anything can happen on Sunday. Very happy with how the last couple days and how the game has evolved, better and better. I'm looking forward to get on the ground tomorrow and see how it goes.
